One of the main things we are proud of here at Eastern Bay Concrete is the fact that we support our locally employed people to upskill and gain certifications and qualifications recognising their achievements. In particular, we actively encourage and guide our people into gaining BCITO qualifications.

 

Here’s a quick update on those who have recently achieved new or updated qualifications with us…

 

Dave Peachy – BCITO Level 4 Concrete Construction Certificate

Dave wanted to increase his knowledge and career opportunities in the concrete industry so we supported him in completing this two-year certificate.

 

“It was a really worthwhile certificate and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a career in this industry. I really like the variety of the job, the management team and crew I work with here.”

 

Karl Jacobs – BCITO National Certificate in Concrete Production

Karl has been with us since 2003 and is one of our three onsite certified batchers and lab testers. In order to maintain our annual Certificate of Compliance as a quality assured Audited Plant with ConcreteNZ, we need to have at least one Certified Concrete Production person onsite while our plant is operating.

Mike Woods – BCITO National Certificate in Concrete Production

Mike has also recently completed this certificate providing us with a third qualified batcher including Carl Hay and Karl Jacobs.
